Endangerment Finding on Leaded Aviation Fuel: Opportunity to Submit Comments, Attend Virtual Hearing, and Provide Testimony

Summary
In this action, the Administrator is proposing to find that lead air pollution may reasonably be anticipated to endanger the public health and welfare within the meaning of section 231(a) of the Clean Air Act. The Administrator is also proposing to find that engine emissions of lead from certain aircraft cause or contribute to the lead air pollution that may reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health and welfare under section 231(a) of the Clean Air Act.

Comments: Written comments must be received on or before January 17, 2023.
Public Hearing: The EPA plans to hold a virtual public hearing on November 1, 2022. The following explanation on how to listen or participate is from the EPA's website. Additional information is available here.
To register to attend or testify at the hearing, send an email to aircraft.lead@epa.gov requesting a registration form. The public hearing registration form will be emailed to you and upon submitting the form, an email will be sent confirming your registration. Prior to the hearing, you will receive an email which will include information on how to join the meeting via Zoom or by phone.
A list of registered speakers and the order in which they are presenting testimony will be available on this website the day before the hearing.
